• Having a business now is a MUST!

    Before pandemic hits, having business is just an option to most people after they retire from their jobs. Most of the aspiring entrepreneurs view business as an alternative to their main source of income.

    Now, the wheel has turned. Business must be your main priority to have. Here are 4 reasons why:

    1. Online Works

    Due to the restrictions of government, many companies have resorted to allowing their employees to work from home. At first, it was difficult to set up the work flow and monitoring of their employees remotely, but now, after more than a year of operating online, many companies have realized that they can continue in this set up to minimize over head expenses of having offices for their employees.

    That means, if you are someone who lost your job during this time, the chances of getting back your employment status before will be a challenge.

    2. Unknown Future

    No one expected this crisis to happen and no one can predict when will this end. Our only chance to survive financially is to become creative in making money. I have interviewed a lot of business owners, big and small, local and international, but no one knows what will be the “new normal” look like. The only thing they know is we need to be flexible and decisive in dealing with the current times.

    3. You can take control

    This times proved that we are not in control as to what will happen to the economy or what our employers will do when a crisis hits or even on how the government will handle the situation. Of course this affects our financial stability since we depend most of our income from the companies we are working for.

    Having a business of your own gives you a measure of control to how much you can earn. With a spark of an idea, proper behavior in management of your business funds, the right suppliers and excellent customer service, you can gain back the control over your finances.

    As you work in your business, you can look at what works and what’s not and then create a plan of action to improve your product or your service. In this way, you are not totally dependent on the outside factors but you have a say on what will be the outcome and return of your hardwork.

    4. Jobs must be your alternative source of income

    Once you have established your business and you have set the systems in place, there will always be a possibility of going back to your work once the restrictions are lifted. By then you can decide if you want to go back to your previous line of work again. But for now, due to a lot of variables and uncertainties, the best time to do is to maximize the resources around you and create a source of income by creating a business idea.

    You never know, maybe you don’t even need an alternative source of income if this worked out.

  • The Fastest Way to Become Successful in Business

    There are a lot of ways to become successful in business, but one sure way to become one is through imitation or copying what other successful people do.

    In our schools, they restrict copying in assignments and exams, but in real world, imitating and copying how a person became successful is one sure way to become like them.

    The first thing you need to do is find someone that you want to become. Kind of like a role model. Then find out how he or she got there. Find out his morning routine, what he does to relax, how he thinks, what makes him creative, how he thinks about money, fame, family, giving, savings, and other things. How he comes up with new businesses and new ideas. If there is a chance to be mentored by him or her, go for it.

    Get all the knowledge you can get from him and imitate it first. Make sure you think, act, speak and become as financially stable as him.

    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    This is the training stage. It will take months or even years. Become like a slave if you can to him.

    Once you reach a level when you are confident on what you have and what you know, you can now start to innovate. Learn new things, learn new ways, create your own ideas and execute them.

    Build on the foundation of your mentor and rise from there.

    This was proven by NLP expert Anthony Robbins in his book Unlimited Power and he called this way “modeling”.

    If what you are right now doesn’t work for you, maybe you need a role model that can bring you to a higher level of success.

  • 3 Things You Need to Ask Yourself to Know the Best Business For You
    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    A lot of people naghahanap ng anything that can add to their income. Especially during this time.

    Sobrang daming option, yet, bakit wala kang mapili kahit isa?

    You have a strong desire to start, but with all the options, why are you still stuck?

    Well, the answer is, you don’t know what you want and most probably, you don’t know what you need.. Yet.

    Here are the things you need to consider to start:

    1. BUDGET
    This is very important in choosing a business, because this is the starting point where you have to think through.

    How much budget do i have?
    How much budget I am willing to put in.

    You need to choose a business according to what you currently have. Or something you can possibly provide.

    Once you identified this, whether you have big amount of money or less, you have to consider the next two:

    You need to decide whether you will:

    Serve a basic NEED: All people can possibly be your customer (Eg. Food)
    Serve a NICHE: Just a group of people who need what you offer (Eg. Dog food 😀 Haha, yun una ko naisip)

    The good thing about a need is that everyone can be your client, the good thing naman about a niche is that you can target a specific group of people that actually has a specific need.

    SO you need to decide who you want to work with. 🙂

    Okay, so you now have a budget, and you know that people will actually buy it, but is it something you can do?

    The third thing is, it has to be:

    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    When choosing a business, you need to consider that it has to be something you know and familiar with. This way, it will be easier and you will be confident starting and continuously do it along the way. And if it is something you have minimal idea, at least find someone to guide you along the way. Finding a good mentor is a great place to start.

    If it is a basic need, you can do it immediately because you know how to do it, or if it a niche, it is something that is a hobby, or something that you have an experience with.

    Whew 🙂 Okay.

    Now that you know, the three things you need to consider.. Let me tell you the most important thing you need to do right now:

    And that is the courage to start.

    If you have started your own business.. I’m proud of you.
    And to people na magsstart palang, We will be cheering for you

  • 7 Steps to have a Successful Food Business
    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    Any business needs a system. Just like anything else that you want to run for a long time, business also requires essential components to run smoothly with minimum supervision.

    Here are 7 ways that you be sure that you have a continuous customers for your food business.

    1. An active facebook or instagram page.

    This means that you need to create engaging and attention-getting posts on your social media accounts. It might be testimony from your previous clients, new flavors, or mouthwatering graphics that will make your customers take their phones and order from you.

    Facebook or instagram pages became a pool of testimonies from other people where they base their decisions. As a business owner, you need to maximize the benefit of that and make sure that it works on your favor.

    2. Beautifully designed website

    One way that your customer can look at your business is through your social media accounts. However, nothing creates a sense of legitimacy more than having a beautifully and professionally designed website.

    Your website must include the following pages: Home page, About us page, Contact us page, testimonies, and your menu. You can also show your mission and vision on your website and the stories on how you got where you are now.

    Having a website gives your customers a bigger picture of why your business exists and how people benefit from your company.

    3. Ordering system

    Let say you have captivated your customers in your posts and your website and they are now ready to buy from you, how can they order?

    Having an ordering system in place where your customers can smoothly choose from your menu and add up things on their orders will surely increase your sales.

    50% of interested customers are dropped due to complicated ordering system. No matter how eager they are to buy from you, if they got frustrated in the process of ordering, this will reflect in your sales.

    Ordering system also minimizes the back and forth messaging from your customers and you. In a nutshell, it saves you a lot of time to have an ordering system because it navigates your customers until they placed their orders.

    4. Accounting Structure

    (adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({});

    Having a business will inevitably force you to face the hardest subject that most people dread. Accounting.

    Truth be told, accounting might seem complicated but it is actually simple if you know what are the things to look at.

    I would strongly suggest to hire an accountant who will look at your financial reports from time to time. They are relatively cheaper than not knowing if your are earning or not.

    You can hire accountants from Php 3000 to Php 7000 a month depending on their scope of work. They can also guide you on how to record your expenses and sales in a way that they can analyze easily.

    Too many start up businesses neglect the importance of having an accountant or an accounting structure. It is like wanting to measure something without a ruler or tape measure.

    You cannot navigate in business without knowing the status of your finances.

    5. Efficient Operation

    When we say operation in business it is how we create the product or render services for our clients.

    In food industry, it starts after we received the order from our customers. How fast can we prepare and deliver the products? This will reflect on how efficient our operation is.

    To do that, it is very important to have a standard of operations or other people call operations manual. This is the step by step procedure of doing things in your business from food preparation, ingredients for each dish, how long to cook the dish, how to pack the orders, how to deliver the orders.

    Operation manual also covers part of accounting like attendance and vouchers and banking and some part of marketing like answering queries and customer service.

    6. Quality Product

    At the end of the day, no matter how good you are in marketing, how strong your accounting structure is or how efficient your operations are, if you are not delivering the quality products that your customers expect, your business will eventually fail.

    You might be able to get the first time customers but quality products will make they buy again and again. It means, having a quality product will make your business run a long course.

    So make sure you are serving your customers the products that they truly deserve.

    7. Grow as a Team

    Make sure that everyone in your team is growing not only in areas where they are assigned but also in areas that are connected to their tasks. Also, be open to new ideas and ways of doing things.

    Learn new ways to market your products, learn more efficient ways to provide better results and better services to your customers.

    As you refine everything in your business and your team growing, it will not be a surprise if months or years from now you see yourself expanding to new markets or new locations.

    “The only guarantee that the future is better, is that you are growing today.” -John Maxwell
